If you want to connect LOFI Robot or just the LOFI Brain with a mobile device, then you must use Bluetooth 4.0 for this, additionally use the following tutorial.
Choose frome the following options:
- Connecting LOFI Brain with iOS.
- Connecting LOFI Brain with Android.
- An alternative option for newer devices with iOS or Android (no installation needed, runs in Chrome web browser).
Connecting LOFI Brain with iOS
Compatible with:
- iPhone 5 and up.
- iPad 3 and up.
- iPad mini and up.
- iPad Air and up.
Preparations
Bluetooth 4.0 does not have to pass the pairing process, it is immediately visible to devices and programs.
- In order to connect LOFI Robot with mobile devices such as iPhone and iPad, you will need to download LOFI Blocks to your device. You can download it from this link: LOFI Blocks or find it directly on your device. To do this, open the App Store file and enter in the window: Lofi blocks:
- Make sure the LOFI Brain is plugged in – it’s best to use a charged powerbank from the set. Also connect Bluetooth 4.0 correctly, ie: carefully insert four PINs into four Bluetooth inputs. Remember that Bluetooth should be plugged in the opposite direction to the ON / OFF switch, as in the picture.
- Only now switch the switch to the ON position. The buzzer will emit a double sound and Bluetooth will start blinking with a red LED light:
Connecting LOFI Brain
1. Make sure you have Bluetooth enabled on your iPad or iPhone. Then open LOFI Blocks:
2. After starting the application, to connect with the robot, click on the robot’s head in the upper right corner:
3. On the right side, the ROBOT CONNECTION panel will pop out. You can see there various devices visible to the iPad, among them your LOFI Robot. In our case it is “LOFI_Robot5”, in yours it will be the name from the nameplate of your Bluetooth:
When you want to make sure that you see the correct readings or if you can not see your Robot, use the REFRESH button at the bottom of the panel:
4. After REFRESH we click on the white box next to the name of our Robot and after a while the panel disappears:
… but the head of the robot in the upper right corner receives a border, additionally, the LED blinking earlier under the Bluetooth will start to glow with continuous red light. This is a sign that the computer has connected to our LOFI Robot:
How to properly disconnect the Robot
1. Clicking on the robot’s head opens the ROBOT CONNECTION panel:
2. Now just click the DISCONNECT button at the bottom of the panel. The border will disappear from the robot head. Turn off the application and the Robot by switching the switch to the OFF position:
Connecting LOFI Brain with Android
If you have Bluetooth 4.0, at least Android 4, and you want to connect LOFI Robot with a mobile device, it will not be possible from the level of the application downloaded from the Play Store. To do this, download the application directly from our link: LOFI Blocks, or enter the following address in the window browsers on your smartphone or tablet:

Installing LOFI Blocks from the link
1. Open the browser on your device, with us it will be Chrome. Enter the address given above to the address bar and confirm:
2. A standard message will be displayed: “Files of this type can cause damage to the device …” – the file is completely safe, you can confirm OK. The download will begin:
3. After downloading the file, open it. Follow the installation instructions:
4. Installation is completed. The application icon will appear on the device’s screen:
Connecting LOFI Brain
Bluetooth 4.0 in the case of Android, like in iOS, does not have to go through the pairing process.
1. Make sure the Brain 2.0 is plugged in, it’s best to use a charged powerbank from the set. Also connect Bluetooth 4.0 correctly, ie: carefully insert four PINs into four Bluetooth inputs. Remember that Bluetooth should be plugged in the opposite direction to the OFF / ON switch, as in the picture.
2. Only now switch the switch to the ON position. The buzzer will emit double sound and Bluetooth will start blinking with a red LED light:
3. Make sure you have Bluetooth enabled on your tablet or smartphone. Then run LOFI Blocks application:
4. After starting the application, to connect with the robot click on the robot’s head in the upper right corner:
5. On the right side, the WORKLOAD JOIN panel will pop out. You can see there various devices visible to the application. In our case it is LOFI_Robot5, in yours it will be the name from the nameplate of your Bluetooth:
When you want to be sure that you see the correct readings, or if you can not see your Robot, use the REFRESH button located at the bottom of the panel:

Compatible with:
- Only with Chrome web browser.
- Windows10 on computers that support bluetooth 4.0
- MacOS
- Android devices with Bluetooth 4.0 and at least Andriod 6.
1. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled. Open LOFI Blocks and click on the robot icon.
You can also use the embedded codes.
2. A Bluetooth pairing window will open. Select your robot and click “Pair”. This will connect your robot with your computer.
3. If everything is done correctly, the robot head in the upper right corner will have a border.
